The coin’s weight, fineness and year-date are detailed in the outer ring of the design.The Reverse: You can see the likeness of the new British King Charles III, who, unlike his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, is looking to the left. The fluted coin is framed on this side by the words: “CHARLES III D G REX F D 2 POUNDS”. The letters stand for the Latin words: “Dei Gratia Rex, Fidei Defensor”.
