This year’s coin shows a fully-grown koala clutching to a tree branch. Also shown on the coin is ‘AUSTRALIAN KOALA’, the year-date, coin weight, and fineness. The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also features in the design.The obverse features the Dan Thorne portrait of King Charles III and the coin’s denomination.
