2023-S Morgan and Peace proof silver dollar 2 coins set PCGSPR70 First Strike. The Morgan Dollar was minted from 1878 to 1904, and then again in 1921. It was designed by George T. Morgan, who served as Mint Chief Engraver from 1845 until 1925. In the latter half of the 19th century, the famous silver dollar symbolized the nation's growth in terms of both industrialization and westward expansion. The new Morgan Dollar features a stunning proof finish, and its production involved the utilization of both contemporary technology and historical assets from the Mint. The profile of Liberty is depicted on the obverse, often known as the heads side. A crown, foliage, and cape emblazoned with the word "LIBERTY" sit atop her head, and she is surrounded on all sides by 13 stars, the phrase "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and the year the coin was issued.
