Description Face value – 500 tenge Date of issue – 30 June 2015 Obverse: on the top is an image of the Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, framed by an eight-pointed star being rotated five times, and a “NATIONAL BANK OF KAZAKHSTAN” inscription in the state language; at the bottom is the “500 TENGE” inscription indicating the denomination of the coin; to the left is “24 g” indicating the mass of the coin; to the right “Ag 925” signifies the metal and its fineness; an array of dots with a protruding edge along the circumference. Reverse: fragment of the monument dedicated to the founders of the Kazakh Khanate, Zhanibek and Kerey, with a gilded map of Kazakhstan behind them; in the upper part, framed by the national ornament, the number “2015” indicates the year of coinage; three flying doves represent peace and freedom, and the logo of the National Bank is located nearby; “550 YEARS OF KAZAKH KHANATE” inscription in the state language with a protruding edge along the circumference.
