Description NORNS: SKULD 2026 5 Mark 1oz silver We are proud to present the Norns – three ancient seeresses from the race of giants, who, in the shadow of Yggdrasil’s sprawling roots, wove and guarded the fate of all existence. Urd, Werdanda, and Skuld – Past, Present, and Future. Three sisters, inextricably linked to the Tree of Life, whose names are the very rhythm of time. Skuld, whose name means “that which shall be,” is the Norn of the future. In her hands rests the mystery of the days to come, the inevitability of fate, and the responsibility arising from what is yet to happen. She records and foresees events yet to unfold. Skuld symbolizes mystery, uncertainty, and the consequences of present decisions. Her presence reminds us that every choice made in the present echoes in unknown events, intertwining the inevitable with hope. Obverse In Germania Mint’s interpretation, Skuld is depicted as a mysterious figure, dressed in a hooded robe and cloak that conceal what is yet unknown. At her belt hang human skulls, symbols of mortality and the price of knowledge about the future. In her hand, she holds a sharp knife with which she severs the thread of life, determining the fate of those who seek her visions. She stands at the foot of Yggdrasil, surrounded by the fallen, the still-living, and numerous swords, testimony to battles yet to come. Reverse The Germania Mint double-headed eagle is surrounded by the roots of Yggdrasil and golden threads of fate. The broken threads symbolize the possibility of breaking free from the past and shaping destiny through conscious actions in the present.
