Morris won the Bathurst great race in 1976 and the touring car championship in 1979. Morris was to campaign the stout Holden LJ Torana GTR-XU1 in 1973-74. The LJ Torana was to race in many touring car races and in the Hardie Ferodo 1000 at Bathurst. This giant killer survives today and is one of the great looking group C cars of the era.
